Avante Jarrel Copeland was born in Columbus, Ohio. At an early age, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized on March 15, 2015, at The Church by Christ Jesus. He faithfully served as a member of the Usher Board under the leadership of Pastor James Perry.
Avante was an amazing father of two whose children were the center of his world. He possessed a genuinely kind and giving heart and was known as a protector to those he loved. Family meant everything to him, and he shared a special bond with his brothers, whom he cherished deeply.During his youth, Avante enjoyed sports and was actively involved in his community. He played basketball at the Douglas Recreation Center and was a proud member of the LGY Rockets Youth Football Team. These experiences helped shape his competitive spirit, determination, and love for teamwork.
As he grew older, Avante discovered a passion for music and rapping. He was a man of many talents who used music as a creative outlet and a way to express himself. He pursued his dreams with ambition and dedication while recently establishing a new career at Rouge, where he was excited about the opportunities ahead.
Avante was known for his infectious smile, sense of humor, loyalty, and unwavering love for family and friends. He had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and protected. His presence brought light, laughter, and comfort to those around him.Although his time with us was far too short, the impact he made on the lives of others will remain forever. Avante’s legacy lives on through his children, family, friends, and all who were blessed to know and love him.
Avante leaves to cherish his memory: His loving Mothers; Sharon Copeland and Tanikqua Moore, Father; Andre Jaques his beloved children Aiden and Avante Jr, his brothers Maurice, Nathaniel(niece Me’hana) and Aadrian,his grandparents Leonia Wise and James Moore, Great grandparents Calvin Calloway and Hattie Moore, his partner, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family,dear friends and a host of loved ones whose lives were forever touched by his presence. Avante is proceeded in death by Great Grandmother MaryAnn Copeland and Great grandfather Leon Wilson.
