IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jasmine Charae
Anthony
November 30, 1990 – July 31, 2025
Jasmine Charae Anthony was born on November 30, 1990 to Monique Taylor and
Bernard Anthony. She arrived on the same day her great grandfather, Emanuel
McCracken, passed. Her uncle, Joseph McCracken, had a dream of a tree, and on one
of the branches of the tree sat a black bird. As the black bird flew away, in came two
white birds to take the place of the black bird sitting on the branch. Black representing
death, her great grandfather, and the white representing life. Not long ago we thought
you sat alone on that branch, but you didn't. You were never alone on that branch.
When you flew away we thought we saw a bare branch, but we didn't. If we really look
closely at that branch, we will see you shared the branch with three twigs, Isaac, Taylor,
and Jayceon. Thank you for our precious twigs. Rest in peace, Jasmine. We will miss
you.
Jasmine attended Inglewood High School where she was active in Junior ROTC until she
moved to Ohio, where she continued High School at Brookhaven. She went on to work
in different warehouse and food industry positions until she put her feet firmly on the
ground and built a career at the Waffle House in 2012. She held various positions and
would eventually end up being a trainer, training new employees on the grill, serving
customers, cashiering, and all other positions throughout the restaurant. A hard
working and dedicated employee, she is loved by her entire Waffle House Family.
Jamine loved Karaoke with one of her favorite songs being I Don't Know, by Jamie
Foxx. Jasmine also loved to swim and enjoyed the hot tub with MeMe. She loved to watch
movies and tv series with her one of her favorites being the Love Island series. Her
favorite thing in the world to do outside of everything else, is spending as much time with
her children as possible. They will always be the loves of her life, she was truly a Mama
Bear.
Jasmine was a member of the Satan's Sidekick MC under her original sponsor 2 True.
When he left she didn't want to leave, so she chose Tazz, a sponsor she trusted. She
had already developed a friendship with Big Dawg, and after some consideration, asked
him to be what she thought would be her final sponsor. He sadly passed in March of last
year and she grieved deeply for him. She then went under the sponsorship of Bud, who
she remained with until she passed. She was a Beloved Sister and will truly be missed.
We will all miss hearing her say "YAS HUNTY YAS" when she got excited.
