Obituary

Kenyota Marie Broomfield, known as Bookies, was born on December 11, 1993. She departed this life on May 4, 2026, at the age of 32.

Kenyota was a member at The Church of Christ of The Apostolic Faith for over 20 years where she was baptized in the precious name of Jesus at a very young age and dedicated her life to the Lord. She enjoyed spending time with her family, taking trips, and going to church where she was a part of the youth usher team, praise dance team, and mime team.

Kenyota graduated from ECOT Home School and was also known by many in the community for her beautiful smile, loving spirit, quiet strength, and the love for her family. One of her favorite songs was "Now Behold the Lamb" and we can see why as her inner spirit was that of a lamb and because the Lord searches the heart and tries the reins, He knew of her sincerest desires and provided her with Salvation and opportunities to witness His love from all of us.

Kenyota is proceeded in death by her mother Latoya Joseph and her father JC (Kenny) Broomfield; her grandmother, Leslie Joseph; her great-grandfather, Charles Walker; and her great-grandmother, Elaine Walker. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her beloved grandmother Gloria J. Broomfield, sisters Kennic (Bobby) Colvin, Toya Joseph, Godmother Christina Lyles, her aunts, Tammi (Walter) Blanks, Velma Broomfield, Trina Broomfield, Alisa Craig; her uncles, Tracy Broomfield, Donnell Broomfield; her nieces, Kenisha Abbington, Angel & Heaven Mitchell and Irish Joseph; her nephews, Walter Mitchell Jr, Raeshon Antrum, Abel Antrum and Leo Joseph; her great-nieces, Malaysha & Mai’Laya Christian and Iylin Mitchell; and her great-nephews, twins Lyve & Legend Christian and a host of cousins and friends.

Though her time on earth was brief, Kenyota’s love, laughter, and memories will live on forever in the hearts of all who loved her.

“Those we love never truly leave us, Until we meet again.”
