Marcella Joan Wilson Patterson, affectionately known by many as "Aunt Hot Sauce," Red, Marcie, and Mom Dukes, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, at Mount Carmel Grove City Hospital. Born in Columbus, Ohio, on September 13, 1948, to James and Alberta Wilson, Marcella lived a life full of love, laughter, and generosity.

A proud student of South High School, Marcella went on to serve her community as a dedicated nurse for over 20 years. Her compassion and strength touched countless lives, both in her professional career and in her personal relationships.

Marcella was the embodiment of warmth and resilience. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who would give you the shirt off her back and the shoes off her feet. Known for her fiery spirit and tender heart, she could curse you out and then wrap you in a hug and serve you a plate of her delicious cooking. She found joy in dancing, gardening, hosting gatherings, and creating a home filled with love and laughter.

She is survived by her devoted daughter Rebecca (Kevin) Baker; her cherished grandchildren Khristopher Mitchell, Daleah (Lee) Wilson, Keswanna Carpenter, Christopher Jones, Kevin Baker Jr., Shyanne (Ricky) Baker, and Devon (Sidney) Baker; 11 great-grandchildren; and her beloved sister Barbara Wilson–Thornton.

Marcella now joins her parents; siblings John Walden, Joan McCreary, Albert "Tux" Wilson, Samuel "Sparky" Wilson, and James "Smokey" Wilson Jr.; her husband Albert E. Patterson Sr.; her son Albert E. Patterson Jr.; and her great-grandson Ahmarion Marquis Baker in eternal rest.

Marcella's legacy of love, strength, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was truly one of a kind, and her presence will be deeply missed.
