On October 8, 1977, the sun rose on a blessed day as Doris Jean and William Howard "Tony" Redd welcomed a precious baby girl, Tamika Cherea Redd, into the world in Columbus, Ohio. From the very beginning, her laughter, joy, and beautiful spirit touched the hearts of everyone she met.

Tamika accepted Christ at a very young age and experienced healing from a heart condition early in life. She was a joyful and loving child who cherished spending time with her relatives and friends. Tamika was raised in the Linden area and graduated from Brookhaven High School in 1996.

She was later blessed with two children, Tamia Jean'ea Redd and Mikai Anthony Redd, and two cherished grandchildren, Eliana Rae Freeman and E'Mauri Lee Mitchell. Tamika's life was a testament to faith, resilience, and the deep love she had for her family.

She was a dedicated employee at Cigna Healthcare where she worked as a Prior Authorization Specialist. She graduated from Everest Institute with her Pharmacy Tech degree in 2010.

Some of Mika's greatest joys in life included spending quality time with her grandchildren and loved ones, expressing her culinary talents in the kitchen, enjoying music, often with a microphone in hand, attending comedy shows, embarking on road trips, and sharing humorous stories that brought laughter to those around her. She had a remarkable gift for making people smile and laugh, a special talent that left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.

Tamika's sunset came unexpectedly on September 15, 2025. Tamika is preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Doris Jean Redd. Maternal grandparents: Cary Leonard Peaks and Willie Mae Willis-Davis, Paternal grandparents: William H. Redd and Mary Adams. Aunts: Ellen Loving, Melanie Davis, Angela Peaks, Anita Peaks, and Karen "Lynn" Rudolph. Step-Aunt: Zelda Jean Griffin. Uncles: James Davis Jr., Louis Loving and Cary (CJ) Peaks. Step-Uncle: Keith Logan.

Tamika leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter: Tamia Jean'ea Redd, son: Mikai Anthony Redd, sister: Alicia Redd, brother: William (Billy) Redd III; grandchildren: Eliana Freeman and E'Mauri Mitchell. Maternal step-grandmother: Helen Marie Peaks.

Aunts: Mae Dawson, Renea (Fred) Ortiz, Annette Peaks, Kathy Adams, Linda Adams; all of Columbus, Ohio.

Uncles: Michael Loving and Jackie Adams; all of Columbus, Ohio; Tracy Rudolph, Chargrin Falls, Ohio. Great Aunt Blanche Peaks, Columbus, Ohio. As well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Tamika's love, strength, and joyful spirit left a lasting impact on everyone she met. She gave wholeheartedly, lifted others with her smile, and lived each day with grace and compassion. Though she is no longer with us, her light continues to shine through the lives she touched. Philippians 4:6-7
