Vanessa Chifton Winters, 54, of Akron, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Vanessa was born on May 25, 1971, in Akron, Ohio, to Linda Winters and Robert “Jersey” Ellis Sr. Throughout her life, Vanessa was known for her vibrant spirit, kind heart, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. She was united in marriage twice, first to Ricardo and later to Thaddeus.

Vanessa was preceded in death by her parents, Linda Winters and Robert Ellis Sr.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her sisters, Erica Winters, Monique Winters, and Kathryn McIntosh; her brothers, Buster Avent and Robert Ellis Jr.; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Vanessa had a true love for music and dancing, and her warm personality could brighten any room. Her smile, laughter, and caring nature left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She will be remembered for the love she shared and the happiness she brought into the lives of others. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those blessed to know and love her.
